What are three techniques that you think are essential to good legal writing, and for each of these techniques, what is one example of a sentence that applies the technique?
As a reminder, for discussion forums in this course, it is required that students will make an initial post by Central time, in a given week. It is also required that students make at least two (2) responses to classmates on each discussion board.
Please create two response that will help me respond to my classmates: (here is a classmate I can respond to)
Three techniques that are essential to good legal writing is to use short sentences for complex thoughts, removing unnecessary words, use everyday language. When trying to express complex thoughts, try using shorts sentences so that the reader can understand easier. If a writer tries to go deep into detail in one sentence, you more more likely to lose the reader in the complex thoughts. For example, “I like to bake.” is easier to read than “I like to bake but I only like to do it when I have all the ingredients.”. Removing unnecessary words is important as well because it adds additional words that do not help the point of the sentence. Without unnecessary words, a reader can read a sentence and get more information out of it without adjectives. For example, “I like the hat.” sounds better than “I like that purple hat with shinny rhinestones.”. The first sentence has just the right amount of information for the reader to understand what is being talked about without knowing the details that do not matter. The final essential technique for legal writing is to use everyday language. Using everyday language is best to use so reader can understand what you are trying to say. If a writer tries to talk impressive, the reader may be confused of what they are trying to say. For example, “The girl read the book yesterday.” sounds better than “The young girl analyzed the text the day before today.”.

Assessment Description
The local justice court in a small rural county in the U.S. needs a consultant to help them address issues surrounding bail. Leaders in the community have voiced concerns about how the current bail system affects certain segments of the population. In particular, a concern has been raised about how the system unfairly penalizes those of the lower socio-economic classes. The court wants to address these concerns and ensure they are using bail appropriately. They want to establish policies surrounding bail that do not discriminate against defendants based on wealth, or any other factor. The court still needs to ensure the policies are effective at motivating defendants to appear in court though.
Imagine you have been hired as the consultant to assist the court with this issue. Do the following:
Describe the individual components of the consulting process and explain how each component might be addressed in this situation.
Explain some consulting best practices that you would use at the beginning, middle, and end of this consulting project.
Describe the approaches you would use when working with the stakeholders in the court and others on your consulting team.
Be sure to cite three to five relevant scholarly sources in support of your content. Use only sources found at the GCU Library, government or business/consulting websites, or those provided in Resources.

If not, why do you feel it is unnecessary? Consider the various treatments that were described as well as the punishments for violating the registry requirements.
