The student can select any technique of meditation for their comparative study and develop the paper in the light of the current scientific studies on the technique
For my proposal, I would focus on the topic of:
Knowledge Of Self Through Techniques From Preksha Meditation. I want to use the course materials and outside sources to develop the paper justifying what has been taught with current scientific studies on the technique. I will use my resources which include:
(1) Preksha Meditation: Philosophy and Practice by Acharya Mahapragya,
(2) A Handbook of Preksha Meditation For The Trainers by Acharya Mahapragya
(3) The technique for purifying and knowing self by Dr. Miteshkumar G Vagh, for a third source.
My outline will follow in this setup:
I: I will introduce the traditions of Preksha Meditation.
II: Understanding of Preksha Meditation (using the Preksha Meditation: Philosophy and Practice book).
[a] Meaning of Preksha Meditation.
[b] Goal of Preksha Meditation.
[c] Guiding Principles of Preksha Meditation.
III: Techniques and Practices of Preksha Meditation (using A Handbook of Preksha Meditation For The Trainers):
[a] Preconditioning; [b] Internal Trip; [c] Perception of Breath; [d] Perception of Bright White Color; [e] Perception of Body.
IV: Purifying and Knowing of Self:
[a] In the latter technique, the conscious mind is encouraged to engage itself in a “thinking process” [contemplation]; [b] Perception and Contemplation both awaken and develop the practitioner’s consciousness.
SIDE NOTE: The first reading is on kindle for free ($0). I could not find a pdf version of it. However, I have attached the other two sources of the materials as pdfs.

Think about the process of doing your report on an Old Testament prophet, and write a 3 pages essay answering the following questions:
How did studying this prophet change your view of the Old Testament world, or how did it help you understand how the parts of the Bible fit together?
Did you find what you expected?
Did you learn something surprising?
Did something “click” for you?
