Take on the role of manager of a Federally Qualified Health Center (Links to an external site.) that provides primary care services to a multi-ethnic, multi-lingual urban community. Many of the patients live below the poverty line. Health care providers in your center see a high volume of patients with challenging medical and psychosocial issues. Because of the high volume of patients, acutely ill patients often wait for two to three days to see a health care provider. Many patients walk in without appointments.
On the other hand, about 35% of patients fail to show up for appointments on a given day. As you investigate the problem, it is becoming increasingly clear to you that the better-insured and English-speaking patients may receive better access. They are more likely to get a timely appointment, keep the appointment, and show up for their appointments because of better communication. You are interested in promoting more equitable access to health care. You understand the importance of providing patient-centered care that is culturally sensitive and a diverse clinic environment to make patients feel more welcome.
In your initial post,
Propose at least three strategies to solve the problem in your health center.
Support your response with a minimum of two scholarly sources that were published in the last 5 years. All sources must be cited using proper APA Style.

-Blog 1: Using the lessons from you’ve learned on rhetoric, rhetorical choices, and concision, you will write your first blog. You will use the same text set for all three blogs.  Part 2: Post After you read the article, and once you feel that you understand the article, your job is to craft a  response to the article. Your response should do three things:  First, briefly summarize the main points of the text (in about 2-3 sentences) . Use what you learned about summary to help you. For example, don’t forget to include the title of the article and the author’s name right away.   Blog 4 – 500 words This blog is different than the previous blogs because it requires a new skill (synthesis).  Step 1: Compare and contrast your three texts:   The three texts (from the previous blogs): • Blog 1: Adam Grant: The Surprising Habits of Original Thinkers • Blog 2:“Failure is Not an Option” by Allison D. Carr (76-81 in Bad Ideas about Writing (Links to an external site.)
) • Blog 3: Sir Ken Robinson: “Do Schools Kill Creativity? (Links to an external site.)
”   You should begin by comparing and contrasting the first two texts’ messages and rhetorical strategies. Are these texts communicating similar or different messages? Are these two texts using similar or different strategies to reach their intended audiences? Think about this carefully. Then, explain how the third text fits into your evaluation of the first two.

Langston Hughes wrote a famous piece of literary criticism, “The Negro Artist and the Racial Mountain,” in which he posits that the “job” of an African American poet is to promote black pride. Hughes asserts that an African American poet should “change through the force of his art that old whispering ‘I want to be white’…to ‘Why should I want to be white? I am a Negro—and beautiful’” (701). Focusing on this assertion, compare “The Negro Speaks of Rivers” and “I, Too.” Considering theme, speaker, metaphor, personification, and/or other literary devices, let your comparison bring you to an evaluation of the poems. Which poem better achieves Hughes’ stated goal? (Be sure to answer the question in bold in your thesis!)
